Truck Driver Drives Away An Endangered Anteater That Is Terrified

The intentional destruction of its natural habitat, particularly in regions of Latin America, is putting the anteater in risk of extinction even though it is not hunted for its fur or its flesh for human consumption.

Our narrative took place precisely in Mexico, more especially in the state of Veracruz. A young truck driver named Daniel Hernández was traveling down a roadway in that town when all of a sudden, he came upon an animal’s body that was laying on the ground.

He initially believed it to be a dog or a cat, but as he came closer, he realized he was entirely mistaken.

Unknown to him, it was an anteater, a species that is mostly found in the Tamaulipas and San Luis Potos area. Nevertheless, he grabbed him up and drove off with him in his car.

He had already taken a number of pictures with his phone and forwarded them to his girlfriend, who quickly posted them on their respective digital platform accounts to share the news of Daniel’s unexpected find.

Users of the same publication had a significant influence on it and quickly copied it to hundreds of locations before Ciudad Valle, San Luis Potos-based Selva Teenek civic association learnt of the situation and its director, Ena Buenfil, got in touch with Daniel.

“Daniel’s girlfriend shared the pictures claiming that her boyfriend had found the bear, but they both didn’t know what he required or how to take care of him,” Buenfil claimed.
