Sarah Barbosa worked in the field of wildlife restoration in Massachusetts for many years. After some time, he concluded that retiring was the best option, and he and his family relocated to Texas.

Everything changed, however, when he learned about a nest of little birds that had fallen to the ground. Sarah chose to come out of retirement since the eggs were alone and it was doubtful that they would survive without the support of their mother.

The disaster occurred when a series of repairs to a house’s roof were being completed. One of the workmen demolished the nest by accident and felt bad about it. They requested assistance from the house owner and the worker, and Sarah was discovered.

Fortunately, Sarah was well-versed in the subject and even had an incubator at home. Sarah had no idea what sort of bird the eggs would hatch into because they were so little.

“When they handed me a box containing two eggs, I wondered, ‘What type of eggs are these?’ “They were little, about the size of my thumb,” Sarah recounted.

Sarah looked after the eggs for the following few days. Unfortunately, one of them died, while the other looked to be in excellent health. Sarah was identified as her mother by the dove after she was born.

“A buddy said he reminded him of Kevin, the bird from the film Up.” So that’s what we’ve chosen to call him. “We don’t sure if he’s a man or a woman, but he looks a lot like Kevin,” Sarah remarked.

Sarah’s mission has always been to rehabilitate animals and restore them to their natural habitats. This young dove, on the other hand, did not appear to want to leave the Barbossa family.

When a bird is cared for by a human, according to Sarah’s experience as an animal rehabilitator, the bird imprints on the person who feeds them and regards them as their mother. In nature, such a bird would not be able to survive.

“She flaps and sings for my attention every time I enter into a room where she is,” Sarah explained.

The pigeon eventually recovered and began to dance joyfully whenever Sarah approached her. Kevin formed strong bonds with the rest of the family right away.

Kevin has no intention of leaving. “We never envisaged having a pigeon as a pet, but we’re really enjoying it,” Sarah remarked.

After gaining Sarah’s heart, she went on to win her husband’s, and they started a lovely pattern of joining him every morning while he drank his coffee.
